American painter and film critic Manny Farber's legendary underground essay “White Elephant Art vs. Termite Art” (1962) is the inspiration for this show of more than 100 artworks from the 1950s to the present, curated by Helen Molesworth and including Beverly Buchanan, Vija Celmins, Manny Farber, Fischli & Weiss, Jennifer Guidi, Kahlil Joseph, and Rachel Rose, among others.
