The exhibition's entry point is a hand-painted beaded curtain referencing a 1964 photograph of Black Civil Rights activists attempting to swim in the Atlantic Ocean on a segregated beach; charcoal and gouache drawings on paper also display connections between Caribbean Carnival and Black Lives Matter protests.
By appointment only.
