Betye Saar's work addresses race, gender, and spirituality; her assemblages combine symbols with objects found across Africa, Mexico, Asia, Europe, the Caribbean, and L.A.

Thomas Joshua Cooper has been making large-scale, black-and-white photographs outdoors for the past five decades. This exhibition comprises 65 large and 75 smaller photographs.

Every Living Thing: Animals in Japanese Art celebrates the depiction of animals in the country's spiritual heritage of Shintō and Buddhism.
