Ulysses Jenkins: Without Your Interpretation at Hammer Museum from Sun, Feb 6 to Sun, May 15 ( Exhibition )

The video artist Ulysses Jenkins (b. 1946, Los Angeles) uses archival footage, photographs, image processing, and soundtracks for an “other” history that questions race and gender as well as ritual, history, and state power. The show also includes collaborative works, mural paintings, photography, and performances.
