2011 Hammer Gala in Review

 

On Saturday, September 24th the Hammer Museum hosted their 9th annual Gala in the Garden, co-chaired by Rosette Delug and Darren Star, raising a record amount for the museums exhibitions and programming. This year, the event honored cartoonist and creator of The Simpsons Matt Groening and artist Larry Pitman with a tributes by Neil Patrick Harris and Christopher Knight. The mood was set by special edition lanterns by Jorge Pardo and light installation Orbit by Jennifer Steinkamp.
