Route ForYourArt Beverly Hills Guide ( Apr 21, 2018 )

Beverly Hills is synonymous with luxurious estates and tony shopping promenades like Rodeo Drive. So it should come as no surprise that ultra-blue chip Gagosian is located here (though many do not know L.A. was the first location in Gagosian’s global empire!). Marc Selwyn Fine Art is another neighborhood mainstay, representing art historical heavyweights like Barry Le Va, Lee Mullican, and Allen Ruppersberg.

Beverly Hills—which is a city distinct from Los Angeles—also has a robust public art program, with over 60 works including recently installed sculptures by Caro Bove and Richard Serra.

As with most things, for lunch, whether upscale, like Wolfgang Puck’s Spago, a recently renovated icon of the 1980s, or timelessly down to earth, like Nate‘n Al, a classic all-day jewish deli, Beverly Hills is all about atmosphere.
