Artists Engaging in Social Change

The Surdna Foundation, fostering sustainable communities in the United States, is now accepting proposals created by individual artists, culture bearers and nonprofit arts organizations. If awarded, funds will support projects developed in response to the challenges of specific communities and artists and organizations whose long-term, deeply-rooted work has increased social engagement external to a singular political framework. Grants, announced in April 2015, will range from $25,000 to $150,000. Read the full request for proposals hereThe deadline for submitting a proposal is November 12, 2014 at 11:59pm EST.
