ForYourArt, Ooga Booga, and Mexico City-based Fundación Alumnos47 will host the third iteration of Artists’ Books and Cookies, an event series devoted to artists’ books and encouraging the collection of and community around them. This year’s two-day event will take place Saturday, June 28th–Sunday, June 29th, from 11am to 6pm and features an exhibition of artists’ books and conversations around independent artist publishing at Ooga Twooga (356 S. Mission Rd., Los Angeles, CA 90033) accompanied by cookies from SQIRL and programs with The Art Book Review, John Tain, Monica Majoli and Nikki Darling

As with the last iteration of Artists’ Books and Cookies, artists and publishers were invited to submit books for inclusion with a particular focus on rare materials or unusual techniques. This selection of books will be on display throughout both days, alongside conversations throughout the day Saturday. Artists’ Books and Cookies events brings artistic talents and people simply curious about artists’ books together for formal and information exchanges. Presentations by contemporary artists, historians, curators and critics related to the production, history and future of artists’ books are served along side cookies to encourage mingling and dialogue.
