The Photographs of Ray K. Metzker and the Institute of Design

Opening day of an exhibition featuring the work of American photographer Ray K. Metzker. This retrospective will offer a comprehensive overview of Metzker’s five-decade career, while also providing examples of work by instructors and fellow students at the Institute of Design in Chicago, where Metzker studied from 1956 to 1959. Photographs by artists including Harry Callahan and Aaron Siskind will be featured in the collection. On view through February 24, 2013.

This gallery walking tour begins at Redling Fine Art with a tour from Erica Redling and Lucy Campana. The event continues at Perry Rubenstein with a walkthrough led by architect Kulapat Yantrasast, who will discuss why the Highland area is an up-and-coming hotspot for art. A reception at the nearby Next Door Lounge will follow.
