Opening day of the 2012 Southern California MFA Invitational. This large-scale group show features works by over 90 recent graduates from Art Center, CalArts, Cal State Long Beach, Cal State Northridge, Claremont, Otis, UCLA, UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara, and UC Riverside. On view through August 24, 2012.

Latned Atsär (Culver City)

Opening reception for Triptych Tripping, a project in three parts that explores the notion of exploration. Segments of this triptych to be displayed in New York, Los Angeles, and Vienna. Latned Atsär hosts the second segment of the piece.

Enchantments of Iberia
Norton Simon Museum (Pasadena)

This performance features music by the Odeum Guitar Duo, who explore the music of Iberia through the region’s traditional Spanish guitar. The show features works by composers including Scarlatti, Albéniz, Granados, Turina, and de Falla, thus reflecting the Museum’s collection of Spanish works from the 17th to the 20th centuries.
