Don’t Be Sad: Happiness Through Beauty
ForYourArt at 6020 Wilshire Blvd (Miracle Mile)
This free event will feature a lecture on the proper methods of prettiness, pertness, and self-betterment. Presented by the Fontbron Academy’s Robert Fontenot and Micol Hebron, this event is part of Lectures for Better Living (Through Art), a series of six performative lectures that explore the life lessons that can be learned through art history.
Lobbies on Wilshire Publishing House
Hammer Museum (Westwood)
For a two-week period during Made in L.A. 2012, artist Fiona Connor will activate her installation by organizing a workshop and publishing house to create an alternate catalogue for the exhibition. During this time, Connor will generate content by collecting documentation and reactions to the exhibition and events from invited guests and museum visitors. Articles will be printed using a photocopying machine installed in the lobby and distributed daily.
