Opening reception for filmmaker and artist Michael Lindsay-Hogg’s inaugural solo exhibition Time Alters All: A Retrospective of an Emerging Artist, curated by Price Latimer Agah. This exhibition, hosted by Shane Guffogg, Julian Sands, Jason Schwartzman, Nona Summers, Tara Summers, and Gloria Vanderbilt, this exhibition will feature a series of oil on cardboard paintings. On view through June 22, 2012.
Discussion: On Restoring Modernism: The Purist and The Pragmatist

Designer and collector Michael Boyd will discuss the role of the homeowner as guardian, in regards to the the rehabilitation of modern domestic architecture. The lecture is presented in conjunction with Boyd’s exhibition PLANEfurniture: types + prototypes at Edward Cella Art + Architecture. A reception at Edward Cella will follow the discussion. Tickets are $10.
Simone Forti: News Animation Improvisations

Performance artist Simone Forti’s News Animation Improvisations method encompasses the translation of the imagery and language of newspaper reports and newscasts into improvised movement compositions. Listening to and reading the news throughout the past months, Forti has produced a series of writings and drawings that she will translate into this collaborative improvisational performance. This free event is presented in conjunction with Made in L.A.
