Patricia Fernández: A Record of Succession

An exhibition by artist Patricia Fernández featuring paintings made from repurposed fabrics and dyed linens with sewn buttons in addition to a grouping of wooden boxes. The installation is part of a larger group of works from A Record of Succession that can also be seen in Made in L.A. at the Hammer Museum.

Mount Wilson Observatory (San Gabriel Mountains)

KNOWLEDGES at Mount Wilson Observatory is a weekend-long art event taking place on the grounds of a historic 100-year-old observatory located in the San Gabriel Mountains north of Los Angeles. Made in L.A. 2012 artists Laura Riboli and Cody Trepte, along with twenty-eight other Los Angeles artists are participating with paintings, sculptures, photography, film screenings, music and sound performances, lectures and installations.

Making Room: The Space Between Two and Three Dimensions

Making Room: The Space Between Two and Three Dimensions features works by an international group of artists who combine two- and three-dimensional media in a single work. In her video installation titled Screens, Made in L.A. 2012 artist Laura Riboli investigates our perception of the ‘white cube’ gallery space through a series of stop-motion vignettes.

Made in L.A. 2012 artist Karthik Pandian is one of the artists included in the third edition of this contemporary art triennial exhibition. Through the concept of “Intense Proximity”, La Triennale will investigate what it means to be active as an artist working today, in the context of a globalized and diverse French art scene.
