Second Skins: Opening Day and Lecture

Opening day of Second Skins, an exhibition featuring painted barkcloth from the Ituri rainforest of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the mountains of eastern Papua New Guinea. Second Skins explores barkcloth’s evolution from functional clothing to art. On view through August 26, 2012, this exhibition commences with a free lecture by Fowler curators Gemma Rodrigues, Roy Hamilton, and Enid Schildkrout.
