Serigraph Blue Narcissus benefits artist-run Workspace
“For my first edition I extended my investigation of process as a way of performative image making into a Serigraph print. Inspired by the myth of Narcissus, in which he becomes transfixed by his own reflection in a pool of water not realizing that his image is indeed himself doubled, Blue Narcissus performs the condition of self-reflection and spatial closure inherent in the process of Serigraphy” –Amir Nikravan
Produced by Lincoln Heights-based exhibition space Workspace to benefit their ongoing exhibitions and programs and launched at Co/Lab at Art Platform L.A., Amir Nikravan’s Blue Narcissus is a great way to support the local arts entity . At 11″ x 17″ the work Riso/Serigraph print is an edition of 10 at $400 each.
A 2011 UC Irvine MFA graduate, Amir recently had a solo exhibition at Rosamund Felsen Gallery in Santa Monica and was featured in a group show Las Cienegas Projects as well as being one of two artists featured at Workspace’s booth at Art Platform L.A.
